True, there is no need for tin foil hat schemes or to ascribe any real intelligence behind the management of many of these companies. But there is an endless supply of sophisticated investors and DIY super funds ready and willing to put their hard earned down for a narrative. And any number of punters willing to believe in a stock with the same passion as they would a football club or religion.

No, management do not need to be especially smart. They just need to rinse and repeat whatever works for them.

I will leave the competent authorities to make their own investigations as to if there is anything more to it than the foregoing. I make neither judgement nor accusation.
