That IM3 townsville feasibility study was a proper joke. The QLD govt got shafted. As far as I know, the money (3 mill) did not go directly to the Magnis pockets but to the authors of the "thing." They predicted rates of return that were so far off the scale. Miles high.
A simple google search of profit margins from big players like CATL etc. showed just how outrageous those figures were. It was a Magnis "special." No one in the industry would believe that stuff.
