An interesting question actually, made me think more about it.

For LP, regardless of how much of GCM he has accumulated with his cronies, when it dies, so does that investment. So that is karma for them I guess.

For my mate AB, who received such unbridled and false vitriol from LP, to see AB's predictions come true is karma, especially since he then did successful turnarounds of several other desperate companies after what was then Krucible Metals.

But your point is taken. I suspect most of the original shareholders saw the true situation early and got out when the writing was on the wall, avoiding too much loss, so there is no benefit to current shareholders.
