Yes I agree, but 2 points:

1) From my experience, a judge will do their best not to make a decision. To us in Aus this seems like a given. From what I understand in certain parts of Sweden this is very contraversal. A judge will sit back as long as possible in the hope a decision can be made for him .ie the law changes and forces a particular outcome,
2) If there are law changes a judge will not make a decision only to in retrospect for that decision to be wrong by a law change. He / She will wait for the dust to settle.

I really hope my thoughts above are wrong and I wake up tomorrow morning with the decision made.........................but !!!
