It feels like deadlines or timing guidelines set by the courts ought to be taken more seriously than most things, so the silence is killing me. If I slip on a project at work, I'm expected to explain myself. If not, then at a minimum I should at least make the delay known to anyone if might impact, and offer a ballpark date if need be. If for whatever reason I don't tell people proactively, I'm not going to give the silent treatment if people came knocking. I really hope Talga gets a response to their request for information.


I try to look at this through the eyes of a legal bureaucrat, maybe they're silent because there's too many stakeholders to notify... maybe they don't have the online facility to provide a publicly visible notice. Maybe they won't reveal anything unless asked by particular stakeholders in a particular way. I don't know.


An explanation from the courts would be nice, but at this point even the simplest acknowledgement that it's taking longer than expected would be something. "Sorry for the late reply, still looking into it" (translated to the appropriate bureaucratic legalese).
