Africans cannot run a chicken joint they will be running mines to the ground. The junta just wants to steal money that’s it. No need to over complicate. If the Africans want to run the mines let them. I’m 100% sure within a year they will run them to the ground. Look on the internet how Africans run their cities and you will realise they can’t possibly run complex projects like mining.
That being said the Russian can do it and probably the junta has promised mines to their Russian masters and now they have to deliver.
something interesting that barrick said is that the situation is very volatile and the junta grip on power is no guaranteed and I am of the belief they may be leaving sooner rather than later thus why they are so despot to fill their pockets before they have to run away.
