Reasonable thesis or they just wanted more info to clarify. The cynic in me can say. They have more cash now they can spend it. After all, it's the main reason they raised the cash.

I'd actually go back one step and say the reason they jumped to raise the cash was the geo'(s) inspecting the drilling were encouraged.
In a small co. the chain of command is so short you can do that. It's very efficient and a major reason why big co's. leave it to the small guys to do most of the greenfields exploration work. That and the relative P/E's.

We have to trust the guys on the ground. It's the same for the military except* now with drones and personal cameras higher command want to micromanage everything (except take the blame, certainly claim the medals).

All IMVHO.
* less so for Russian & Chiense military.
