Can't think of a single worse example of "conflict of interest"...

Can't think of a single worse example of "conflict of interest" than that of Australian stockbrokers ...

Once spoke to one about raising funds for a small mining company. Asked the broker how they reconcile getting the best equity price for the company with selling the company to the broker's clients who they have to tell "undervalued deal of the century". Wasn't it a conflict of interest?

The response: "Well if you look up a text book definition of conflict of interest, it probably is, but we're all making money right, so all good".

All ok with ASIC and the ASX of course.
