It is not just the time value of money.
The carry only has value subject to Dorado being developed. This may happen but it also may not, and should it not occur, the carry is worthless.
In my view, the continual pushing out of FID by Santos and the language in their releases / transcripts, demonstrates the project is not truly "world class" and is more marginal than everyone was led to believe. This means the chances of Dorado never getting sanctioned or even to FID, is higher than previously thought.
