Further to my last post, I went back and looked at last quarters tonnes produced and the cost to produce them. Here's those figures (rounded) for the last quarter and also this quarter:

Cost of Production in the quarterlies is calculated on only the tonnage sold, which to me doesn't seem like the best way to display how a company might be doing as it can distort what is actually happening. Comparing the last two quarters we have produced almost 25% more tonnes at about 11% less of the cost to do so in this quarter. That to me looks like a significant improvement. If you just compare last quarters $A1,536 to this quarters $A1,506 then you would think that there has virtually been no improvement at all.
