can I just add, Labour doesn't give a flying about anyone but the party (liberals too) and they showed that when the stupid voice to parliament was rejected yet they've found a way to still bring it in inspite of the ppls wishes...
if u ask any politician, and I've heard one slip up and voice this, their allegiance is first to the party, next is their hip pockets and then to the nation... the hip pocket bit is my assumption...
