'The market is a snap shot in time of moods, rather than facts.' - I know we have argued this before, but to me it is a snap shot of the future. Yes it is caught unawares at times, which explains the huge one day increases and decreases you see on occasion. But mostly it is in a trend situation which aligns with an orderly flow of information to the market.
But if there is one thing the market universally retreats from is when risk is piled on risk. That is the strategy Eqr are pursuing here. Lobbing that on top of their failure to achieve profit with the open cut stage of Mt Cabine, I believe, is the reason for the depth that we see atm. I might be dead wrong - who can tell the reasons someone wakes in the morning and decides to sell their holding.

Can I explain why G6M hasnt followed them down today despite the newspaper article? Probably not. But if I were to guess I think they are in an oversold situation, given the high they started from 18 months ago, where they are now and the lack of any significant bounce on the way down; which is temporarily detaching the SP from the fundamentals of the stock. And this is actually a sign that if they were to release any good news the stock has a very good chance of rebounding hard.

Thankfully some buyers are coming on for EQR as I type. Lets hope the Sept qtr has the news we are all looking for.
