    I can give you two.

    Firstly, the appearance of 'diversifying' our assets and thereby making the company look more attractive, by having graphite and gold tenements - not that we'd demonstrated any prior success in either area.

    Secondly, to put some dough into Kabunga's pocket (he owned the gold tenement), which would then allow him to inject more funds back into VRC in a 'circular reference' type arrangement.

    It was, of course, all smoke and mirrors, because the tenement had been through several hands before Kabunga got a hold of it, so it was obvious that it was worth precious little in real terms, but perhaps, could convince the punters that it added value to the company - which some HC posters bought hook, line and sinker, as can be seen from their posts at that time.

    I bet there are some out there who still think (hope) that it's worth more than the cost of an ad on Gumtree.
