I don't think you are missing anything. It is thinly traded and this result is good enough to warrant a pick up. But as the stock is regularly traded up and down on small volumes bigger investors will wait on the sidelines until it is clear that the sentiment is increasing and the day traders have been flushed. I do think by the end of the day the direction will change and continue tomorrow.
BTW, how do know management want the report our there? They release it 3 days before the EOM, not after 4 PM on the last day.
