Mr M,
That is a great initiative, thanks. There is a lot to take in with this announcement and no doubt will require a second read. But I have a few questions / observations.
Question 1
This maybe pre-empting an imminent announcement and commercially sensitive, but:
The Global Agreement Co-operation Agreement with Worley was signed back in May 2020 covering the aMES tech for a 3 year term, in Feb 2022 the agreement was expanded to include iBC and extended to be a 5 year term (taking it to May 2025).
Will the Worley partnership be extended: and/or, expanded to incorporate the portfolio of technologies that PWN has subsequently developed? As it would appear we are looking at other EPCM options (page 7).
Question 2
Again this is commercially sensitive but can Bahay maybe elaborate on any engagement that Parkway had with the other Qld csg operators? There had historically been siting studies, which identified the preferred site as QGC's Bellevue (PL247), and other related investigations (pipeline, marketing etc), back when the ssr tech being assessed was the, very expensive and energy intensive, thermal evaporation and crystallization processes. Has the industry made any of this material available or have we had to like start from scratch?
Question 3/Observation
Fantastic to see that large-scale piloting of the upstream technology has been undertaken, I was not aware of this. Was this on-site and client funded? Are PWN able to release comparative studies against conventional RO?
Question 4 /Observation
The thermal processing technology and operations required for salt encapsulation, producing the salt cake, are capex intensive and have high energy footprint (op cost).
It appears that PWN is, potentially, providing the optionality of a cost-effective (partial) solution by way of the Upstream Package and Brine Management Complex (excluding the 3rd Electrolysis stage).
I am very supportive of this approach, as it allows PWN to pivot with government policy.
