What you have displayed is what I call " A class shareholders " who get regular exceptional dividends - other members of this class are FIFO workers of all sorts, geologists, mining engineers ... especially "senior" ones, who mostly live in Perth, and also FIFO.
But the " B class shareholders " who drink the KoolAid, hold through thick and thin, participate in endless CR's and live off an endless stream of promises, fuelled by endless BS theories on HC and the like, but mostly get 3/5ths of 5/8ths of F-all.
Of course there's always those who claim to have made money out of "trading the stock" and then there's the new SH who thinks he/she has entered the stock at the right time ..... hope springs eternal in a HC breast.
The managerial class cant lose - even when the projects fail, the golden parachute rarely fails and the time on unsuccessful projects enhances their CV for similar "difficult" but "promising" projects.
COI is one of many "gunna's" that are a nice little earner for all of the above, and maybe sometime in the future, this minor gas field will be developed, and surviving SH's will be able to claim that "patience is a virtue" for "successful investors" .... sigh .... the things change, the more they stay the same.
