WA government just announced a $150 million dollar battery for WA and it accounts for 50% of AVLs annual production. This is the second VRFB in Australia that has been announced.
10,000 tonnes per GWH which is 1000 MWH. The quoted battery is 50 MW for 10 hrs =0.417 days 500 MWH or 5000 tonnes of V205.
Do you think the WA government is going to let another state build the WA battery or someone international? answer is no.
I have it on good authority from people who work for utilities that batteries are going in everywhere. Have previous been lithium but due to fires the tide is turning.
When I say batteries across all states we are talking hundreds!
