What we do know as a fact, is company's have poured billions of dollars (with more billions planned) into building battery factories where the chemistry is predominantly Lithium. Falling prices only improves the economics, so they aren't suddenly going to swing capital overnight to unproven tech. Well an astute business person wouldn't... others might.
