He'd have to believe in the company to some degree but its worth noting that the wage he is paid to run the company and the additional time it will survive as a result of the CR will cover a fair portion of the capital he has put up in the CR.
Don't know how easy it'd be for him to get another job in the next six months if the company had gone into VR.
