Well... this is a disgraceful quarterly report. I just re-read the Sept Quarterly report and their guidance is as far off as Trump's approval ratings. From September:

Higher grade Wiluna ore is expected to increase production in the Dec’18 quarter. (Not the case due to increased stripping costs = fail)
Expecting Dec’18 quarter production of 20,000‐23,000oz. (They did not meet guidance and yet no announcement to inform the market that this would be the case = major fail)
AISC/oz expected to decrease in Dec’18 quarter and over remainder of FY19.(way way way off the mark here = fail)
FY19 production and cost guidance reconfirmed at 77‐89koz @ an AISC of A$1,250‐$1,450/oz. (Not even close to reaching these targets =Fail)

Take note. September Quarterly was released ONE WHOLE MONTH INTO THE DECEMBER QUARTER. There is NO way BLK did not know earlier in January that guidance would not be met. This should have been announced to the market. Furthermore, the excuses for underperformance clearly point to poor mine planning and reserve calculations. This is clearly a management issue and management know it.
