Am I stupid? Something Im not understanding?

Should I blindly believe they are going to honestly count every single vote against them and if its a close call do I think they are going to get the retail shareholders over the line - no way.

If someone is going to the meeting you can have them as your proxy, I will probably be letting the cat out of the bag however if there was a lot of disgruntled shareholders at the the meeting and its not a poll (ie a show of hands ) the under section 250J you could vote down a resolution.
