Unfortunately the company did not respond to my questions to them about the capability of the heramed device to determine aspects of CTG such as variability, reactivity, accelerations, decelerations etc. Without more information, currently the only benefit I can see the heramed device over a sonic aid doppler would be that the pregnant woman and her carer being able to listen/watch FHR.

In less developed countries, without CTG, you are relying on the skill of the birth attendant to interpret the fetal heart rate and labour progress etc.

I invested in the company not for the herabeat device currently available, but for the Orion under development, which shows promise for professional use rather than just remote, less developed country use, or excited Mum to be home use.
