Gina Rinehart has this week moved on another ASX lithium play, Azure, grabbing a 6% stake that sent the share price soaring a further 43% yesterday. She may well be aiming to block the Chilean takeover, in the same way she has just used a big blocking stake in Liontown to drive off US lithium behemoth Albemarle. I think she’s got some very firm ideas about keeping ASX-listed lithium developers locally owned.
Pity the short sellers who get caught on the wrong side of the next moves she makes without warning.
