Granting of exploration licences under this regime I believe does take time but its because there are more legal rights afforded to the TO's and its a go to end (Exploration to Mining ) Agreement
Native Title
Mt Peake is on Native Titled land per the Native Title Federal Legislation.
This is a different approach.
First - Exploration Agreement is completed and its what I am told is an expedited process. Meaning the CLC can execute this. Hence TNG has been able to carry out exploration quite well and quickly under a heritage clearance process.
Second - Mining Agreement is completed. CLC negotiate the Agreement on behalf of the TO's Group. This is where TNG is now.
I understand Federal Minister or Territory Ministers are loathe to intervene.
I understand its up to the parties involved, in this case TNG/CLC/TO's, to agree on the compensation package. I have no idea what this could be.
In relation to Tivan. I have no idea.
