Shorts have increased since the 25th. What you are looking at on the 25th is 3 million shorted on that day. Plus 713 000 the next day (26th) plus 110 000 the day after (27th). The bottom table is gross shorts for that particular day.

If you want the grand total shares shorted (net total) use the top graph. Now the top graph has a 4 day lag so as of the 25th there was a total of 4 534 219 shares that have been shorted or 0.0083% (less then 1% of shares on issue)

Now tomorrow using the numbers above the net total of shares shorted will be 4 534 219 + 713 000 - any shares that were covered.
