Boost are not a replacement for original IQbuds (although the market might perceive that). The original allows the user quite a lot of flexibility through the equaliser settings/volume. This is replaced by the "Ear ID" in Boost - in some ways similar, but more "automatic" than "user-customisable".
Will be interesting to see whether there is a follow on to the original on the new BT5 platform used for Max.
