I can speak from experience working for a software company that high value clients have a very distinct hand in development roadmaps. However not so much the dev team - and generally you wouldnt expect this - the cats at GM probably dont really know the full scope of technical credentials in software development - and it isn't their place to need to know. Their focus is on their business and they just care about deliverables.

High value clients are also an exceptionally squeaky wheel when it comes to service and support. Typically they are very happy in this area as they get quick turn around and issues/gaps or feature requests are quickly escalated to a product team for meaningful review.

At the end of the day, CXZ dont have a large market to direct development - they will be relying on internal knowledge and GM - from here working out what from that would be transferable to wider clients in a white label version. Having said that - The GM product will likely have heaps of GM specific customization which wont work outside of GM. In any case - it certainly looks like GM have been happy with the dev up to date - I cant see them rocking the boat too much with the credentials of the team. Its an "If it aint broke don't fix it" kinda thing.
