I think the investment mindset is totally different from speculative mining stocks and industrials. There does need to be a stream of announcements to keep the price going in mining but not so much with industrial companies. The difference is mainly because junior miners NEED a stronger short term price point so that they can raise capital to continue drilling. The junior end of the mining market has had an amazing run over the last 18 months-2 years but it’s often stuck in the doldrums.
up to you how your portfolio is structured but it’s hard to compare small miners and small tech companies. I think what you have seen on these CXZ threads is a really deep investigation into the actual business which is rare. Junior miners just ride the commodity wave. Something like 13/625 will actually come through with anything that resembles a production business. That figure sounds made up but it’s based on how many companies are listed as mining exploration etc. the long term possibility of making money from speculative mining stocks is almost zero. I invest a bit in Venture Capital and the returns are a lot like mining, most fail but the ones that come through are huge. Ultimately the best long term bets are industrials as they aren’t tied to commodity prices which they can’t control. While commodities are strong and money is cheap then miners are popular.
No one cares about this end of the market so that’s why there is no interest from larger investors. Having said that it is very rare to see a company of this size in a profitable position and in a growing market. Best thing to do with CXZ shares is stop watching them and look back in 5 years time. Long term investment in a sound business ALWAYS beats trading.
