Thanks Spektator, you can't offend an eighty year old former West African Contractor, now living in Mauritius most of the time !
My posts are my opinion and perhaps I should copy another and add a sauce footnote " IMO " to my word salads.
As far as I am aware, I am the only person on this forum that has visited MNB Cabinda Office, Mine, processing site, travelled the roads, inspected the prepaid equipment, all in very good order, properly packed (bearings) rubber components all fine with no fear of degredation. I do know what I am talking about, seen it all before, live in a no waffle world ! I toured the new port being financed and built by chinese, very impressive project moving at a considerable rate of knots, visited the old port too but although it was in the original MNB plan and served it purpose before the new one sprang out of the water. I spent two and a half days with Lindsay , COO, Steve Abbott and the MNB Cabinda team and in that time I came to understand what the projects are all about and how everybody was full of enthusiasm and knowledge.
With thirty years West African experience, I fully understand the problems that come with Africa. There are always new issues arising and cause terrible frustration in all corners, shareholders in particular here. ( I add that during the present lull in achieving objectives, this board is littered with tupence ha-penny arguements, squabbles, with people at each others throats, because of frustration and the lack of patience and nothing else to do ! )
I know a good project when I see it and this is it, hence my optimism,,,,, IMO
I have examined the substantive issues (challenges, opportunities, funding pathways eg )," your quote, " and don't need to go through every,, " what if,,,," since there are so many others here doing just that. I contribute where I think necessary and if that comes over as upramping, then sorry I just speak my mind. I also like to uplift some posters who get into terribly depressed states somtimes. Very often a kick in the arse does the trick.
I do not intend changing my style at my stage in life so you'll all just have to put up with me. I'll add that I do not intentionally repeat, repeat, repeat, my emotions and feel that my contribution is sometimes necessary, especially when the hounds are howling ,,,, disaster, disaster, disaster.
I hope I have not offended !
