The ASX gets paid for every trade that goes through the market....They couldn't give a damn whether it manipulates the market or not...As with so many things Australian, its about the form, not the substance...Make a song and dance about market integrity and the rest of the formal compliance rubbish,but allow substantive fraud to take place behind the scenes..iow, make a thousand rules and laws, but don't enforce them

The ASX would promote cigarette smoking if they could make a buck out of it
