During the quarter Rawson Resources Limited (“Rawson”) completed the final report for the Soil Gas Geochemistry survey in EP97.

Over 550 soil gas samples were collected in late 2012, within the Pellinor and Colson prospects, along with some additional regional reconnaissance sampling.

Both the Pellinor and Colson areas showed anomalous high levels ethane (C2) and propane (C3) consistent with the structural trends suggesting that microseepage occurred in those areas.
Additional anomalous highs were also identified during the reconnaissance sampling and these warrant further investigation.

The survey highlights that EP97 remains an important target for oil and gas exploration. Rawson considers EP97 to be a highly prospective, which we have been exploring since 2001.

The geochemistry survey fulfils part of the work commitment associated with this phase of exploration and compliments a similar more regional survey conducted by Rawson in 2006.

Subsequent to the quarter end, Rawson divested its interest in EP97, for 50,000,000 ordinary shares in Central Petroleum Limited. Rawson believes that Central, under the stewardship of Richard Cottee, is better placed to explore and develop any potential discovery within the Pedirka basin, because of their large regional holdings and focus in Central Australia.
