Presidential election in Togo will be held on March 5, 2015 at the latest, according to the Constitutional Court in a statement on Monday.The court said the voting is to be opened at the earliest 75 days and 60 days at the latest before the end of the presidential term in progress.
“The president’s term that began on 4 May 2010, ends Sunday, May 3, 2015â€� it said.
As a result, the voting is open upon the electorate convocation on February 17, 2015 at the earliest and March 5, 2015 at the latest, the statement added, noting nomination papers are to be submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), at least 45 days prior to Election Day.
