I'd hope that if the environmental assessment is indeed submitted in a few months from now that the government can approve the flaring facility prior to years end, given there is a regulatory framework in SA for this technology.
I think approvals are staged in that there will be approvals for flaring facility, then some time after flaring data is assessed etc, that approvals for commercial facility would be granted
I'd say so long as approvals for flaring facility are through prior to march 18' election it shouldn't have too much influence on the long term success of the project , even if the project stalled for a few months middle of next year while the politicians bicker
