@sqe Caesium is more important for the drilling industry than for atomic clocks. Although caesium has been used in atomic clocks for more than 2 decades,and its accuracy is suitable for most applications, optical single-ion clocks using ytterbium are the state of the art. Notwithstanding, caesium demand for the drilling industry should more than exceed LPD's production.
