This is what a ~$150-200m state of the art hybrid power system looks like (Agnew gold mine WA) to supply all mine power, that took 3yrs to plan and build.
50% (22MW) power is gas/diesel generators (Big white boxes) as the gas pipeline from the WA gas fields goes right past it.
10% (4MW) is generated by 10,700 solar panels
40% (18MW) is generated by 5 wind turbines (110m tall x 140m wide)
All feeds into a 13MW battery
Produces enough energy to supply 1 mine site or equiv to ~11,000 houses.
