    You can’t convert the tonnage of phosphate rock directly into a processed product (like DAP or SSP) because these products only contain a percentage of phosphate. DAP roughly 20% and SSP is 9-10%.

    The decision to go SSP would be because of its high Sulphur content. Many areas in the world are seeing sulphur deficiencies which decreases crop yield and quality. SSP is the only cost effective answer at this stage.
