Drilling programmes typically kick- off after March each year, esp from April/ May onwards & then exploration and drilling work can proceed through the year after the conclusion of the areas significant wet season.
Flooding can occur locally into March & frequently closes local roads, let alone working off- roads work- which then is compromised or too difficult.

There have been a number of wet weather disruptions through last year, and now this year.
Benefit will be adequate water levels for the area through the season ahead.

There can be obvious shared & cooperative use of drill -rigs, needs to be fitted in once other work also planned, as well as geophysical work probably also, in the local region.
All local area mining development companies with exploration work happening are now well into planning exploration work for the months ahead.

I held another company stock in the area through years- every year this occurred, with not much actual activity near Cloncurry-Isa after Christmas and New Year, until announced confirmation of plans ~ March -April each year after again a thorough review of the year ahead after close analysis all data accumulated, but work only commencing after the rains have finished.
Then it could get very exciting, as company work start announced & results etc. There was rain actually into the middle of last year also.

Rain can be a big bonus- as areas of washout can reveal exposed copper rocks & hidden potentials.
