A few years ago some tourist saw them using gravel from the old mullock dumps near Kidston which was and now still the sensible old age p ractice. The great QLD Environmental department then banned the use of this great resource after the complaint. Gravel had to be carted for hundred of kms away at great cost to the local rate payers of the Etheridge Shire. This took years for the experts to reverse their stupid decision. Easy for the school kids to collect the next lot of samples. We wait for next instalment,, I mean Announcement.
