ARU threads have gone through several phases over the last couple of years. There was the options ramping. Now we are at peak ‘the shorters’ who have become the boogeyman. Just a figment, different sides of the same coin.
There is still a very long road ahead, even if FID is secured, a sustained ‘high’ SP is not a certainty with the following challenges:
- Management changes and transitions.
- Successful design.
- Mine construction success and on budget.
- Processing plant construction a success and on budget. Successfully operating per spec.
Each point more important than the last.
If this isn’t the SP orphan phase, then it’s still up ahead.
