The Straits Times a Singaporean publication yesterday ran a detailed article (must read) on just how easily Beijing can prevent supply of key materials and engineers to other countries. It is a clear display of what is well known - ex China supplies of all types are critical and yes - as DC stated today there will be bumps along the journey. Yet in reference to the above article but critical minerals related - as anticipated and already occurred - Beijing's export bans on critical minerals are happening - will continue to - and ARU will be arriving with full production in 5 years at a critical time to supply the binding offtakes at strong pricing - to then service debt facilities and commence stage 2 ramp up.
Never seen DC so positive. Obvious why - quiet often he appears quiet stressed - anxious - fatigued even. Assume he is feeling very comfortable where things are at now - how near to FID and getting stuck into construction. Stay tuned for a whole lot more to follow.
Spare a thought for Lynas and a decade + of struggles and challenges for which some remain. ARU will be a walk in the park in comparison.
