Around 38,000 rural families are supported by the sector, representing 97% of the region’s family farmers and cultivated land.

Cant rely on peasant poor farmers - need sales agreements ( distribution ) with commercial and large scale production businesses
To achieve food security, need a “productive balance” between family and commercial farming and greater participation from the business sector in large-scale production.
