Cheers. Fascinating approach. I can see why one would do that. Knowing when to sell is a much harder decision than knowing when to buy. Would make life (and tax) much simpler.
Serious question though. I have heard it said by smart people and have followed the advice myself, never to adopt a "buy and hold" approach with commodities. The reason being that the underlying commodity cycle is much too pronounced to make it worthwhile. How do you view that?
That is why I prefer to go with buy and "free carry" which I see as the best of both worlds, but of course that also involves knowing when to sell....
