Thanks for that info, yes I am sure a mega multinational is always on the lookout for opportunities in their"stable" of testing products. This is a massive transaction and I get the feeling that they may not be interested in small potential biotechs unless they have something absolutely off the planet in terms of potential. I also am sure that they will want the acquisition to be fully functional and independent in terms of their capacity to deliver the product - an 11.5B acquisition would imply that the product purchased is functional, profitable and well established. I think about this when applying the same logic to BD1 - still some way to go but perhaps in late 2021 or early 2022 they may have a product that has demonstrated that it correctly detects what it is looking for (sensitivity) and correctly detects people in whom the disease is not present (specificity) - then the product can be implemented, and marketed etc and the product may then be ripe for consideration of a takeover by a Thermofisher or similar....lets hope!
