I only noticed today that Splitit (SPT), an asx BNPL company, announced an agreement with Unionpay, our main financial partner, on 13/4/21. The agreement is with Unionpay International rather than the domestic Unionpay.

Probably unrelated but it does seem coincidental that the first time we hear FTC mention BNPL is in the same month as our partner inks a deal with a BNPL partner. I think our T-linx product is mainly used domestically rather than internationally so I would expect there is no current relationship but potentially FTC is setting up the framework for a 3rd party, possibly SPT, to move into the domestic market. Pretty vague connections, just food for thought.
