Always say minimised rather than avoided in relation to tax. From several struggles with the ATO and their less than stellar level of intellect and understanding I assure you it is better to err on the cautious side. While I have never lost a case yet you need to be very well funded to last the distance as they have very deep pockets. Not to mention the stress and large quantities of medicinal Macallans to cope with it!
