This part of the announcement, caught my attention.
• LG Chem will consider assisting in financing of the TECH Project by way of a prepayment. Subsequent to execution of the MOU, LG Chem spun out its battery business, LG Energy Solution (“LGES”. LGES is the world’s largest producer of lithium ion batteries. The ability for QPM to attract the attention of LGES highlights the potential of the TECH Project to become an important part of the nickel and cobalt supply chain for the battery sector.
