Rob, I have to correct you here. It is you that have implied the omission of grade was considered and purposeful. Largus and I have said it was unintentional because it was irrelevant, because it hasn't changed significantly (for better, worse or not at all) and the only thing that has changed is the tonnage, hence the mention. Now that I realise your musings are a function of your OCD, I'll say no more on the topic. OCD is a fairly common disorder but it can be managed. Lithium may be the solution here in more ways than one. Some of the things you post are very valid, informative and appreciated by many here. Unfortunately, when your OCD kicks in, you become nitpicky (pay excessive attention to minute irrelevant detail consistently to the negative) which is your own worst enemy.
