They only drilled 2 out of the 4 Orion holes too - don't think they drilled the deeper two.
Mineralisation was extended by 100m down dip, but if you look at the drilling completed announcement, it won't be long intersections and/or high-grades.
But as Dean says, every target they drill, they want to gain 2-3 (from memory, or was it 4-5) new hole targets from it, using the hole learnings plus DHEM, etc. And he did mention at the interviews/pressos that they've learned a lot from the failed campaign (ie. Orion is a Degrussa-type/VMS deposit, Grant's is epithermal, etc), which helps them use the best methods going forward to define targets for/hit them with drilling.
I'm sure when they're up in the Kimberley next, they'll try and make up for last year's campaign, even though it was no fault of their own that they couldn't complete it.
Anyway, bring on this gold discovery drilling this/next week, with the gold price currently at over $3,300 AUD an ounce.
