I agree that the terminology is somewhat confusing.
I presume they are doing that for simplicity, but it could be better.
However, if one understands the structure of the partners/companies, it is clear what is being communicated.
I'm quite surprised anyone who has been around for a while (eg. pierre) is at all confused by the points (re financial reporting) in my last post. Perhaps he is observing "on behalf" of someone new to the company..?
