In addition, the Company’s in-house Battery team identified that AnteoCoat may assist in the wetting behavior of untreated and surface modified separators. By improving the wettability of a modified separator there is the potential to increase manufacturing efficiencies in existing battery production processes and in particular in the electrolyte and formation steps. The Battery team conducted internal battery tests using its newly expanded battery laboratory which demonstrated an improvement in wettability of a modified separator with battery electrolyte solvents using contact angle measurements. Over the coming months steps will be taken to progress the commercial interest in these surface modified components.
